What’s a Texas Student Recruiter?

Texas Student Recruiters (TSRs) are student employees in the Office of Admissions that are critical members in furthering The University of Texas at Austin's goal of a more diverse, inclusive and accessible campus community. The focus of TSRs is to offer direct, personalized, and individual engagement with prospective UT Austin students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds including Black, Latinx, Native/Indigenous, First-Generation, LGBTQIA+, and other historically excluded student populations. The primary methods of engagement will be via phone, video chat, and email. Texas Student Recruiters will also engage both in-person and virtually with prospective students, support regional admissions events, and assist with campus visit opportunities for prospective and newly admitted students throughout the year.
