Thank you for your interest in registering for our Transfer Thursday event with the Office of Admissions at The University of Texas at Austin. Our Transfer Thursday session will include a tour of the university and conclude with an information session; covering admission requirements and how to apply for transfer admission.

At this time, walking tours are only available to high school juniors and seniors, and admitted freshman students. If you are a freshman or sophomore in high school, we encourage you to review our virtual opportunities, including virtual info sessions, virtual 360 tours, and connecting with an admissions counselor.

All guests must have reservations. No walk-in visitors will be allowed to participate in guided tours or meet with an admissions counselor.
Guided tours are limited to participants and registered guests, plus one tour guide. There is no waitlist if you are not registered.
Campus walking tours are limited to one registered student and three registered guests on the guided tour.
Please check in no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled guided tour time.

Walking Tour:

Guided walking tours are 90 minute outdoor walking tours of campus, that take place rain or shine (excluding extreme conditions).
We recommend that guests bring their own bottle filled with water with them to campus.
Pets are not allowed in any University buildings; service animals are permitted on campus grounds and within University buildings. More information on policies about animals on campus can be found on our Animals on Campus website.
Access to residence halls, gyms, academic buildings, or dining facilities will be based on availability during this tour.
Walking tours may be canceled without notice. Tours may be canceled in the event of a campus closure, extreme weather, change in campus density or in any scenario it is determined that canceling is in the best interest of student and staff safety.

Custodial Responsibility:

If you will be under 18 years old on the date of your tour then you must bring at least one parent or guardian as a guest. The University of Texas at Austin Office of Admissions will not take custodial responsibility of minors while participating in this tour. Custodial responsibility will remain with teachers, parents, legal guardians and chaperones.
